Birthday Goodies

Hey guys!

So on the 4th July it was my birthday, I had some friends over for a barbeque and they all stayed the night.. it was great fun! I thought I'd share some of the gifts I got because I always like to see other people's! I am by no means bragging about these things, I simply wanted to share them with you!

Firstly, probably my favourite present from my parents, was this watch..
I LOVE this, I love the rose gold head and the white leather strap together, I have very small wrists so as much as I love chunky Michael Kors watches, they don't look good on me, so this DKNY one is perfect!

Secondly, this Anya Hindmarch bag..
I love this bag, I love Anya Hindmarch, and I think this bag is really cool, I have been loving coral/orange this summer so this is perfect! The writing on the bag in a union jack print says "Q:How do snails keep their shells shiny?" and inside the bag it says "A:They use snail varnish" and I just thought this was really cute & quirky.

Some moroccan oil..
If you read my blog, you know how much I love this stuff!

The most exciting of all...!
I received some money for my birthday.. so I decided to get a white iPad mini - I love it!! It's so cute and I use it a lot, it's such a handy size.

Make-up wise..
A friend bought me this pretty gold shimmer eye shadow and I got coffee eye pencil from Mac - which   I'm loving so much!

One of my best friends Daisy recently went to New York (I'm very jealous!) and bought me a color whisper lipstickwhich are only currently available in the US but I love it!! She also got me this tarte mascara, I have only used this once so far but it looks amazing, I love the packaging and it looks really nice on! So if you're reading Daisy, thankyou so much, and I love you! :)

Another friend bought me this maybelline color show nail varnishes - I think they are really pretty colours and I can't wait to try them all!
Clothes wise..
I got these two tops from my Mum which I love - I saw one very similar on Urban Outfitters but sadly my size wasn't available - I love these just as much though! I think they are so pretty and summery.

I also got this jumper with neon sequins and an open back - I love this, I think it's really cute and easy to wear!
I got this top from topshop - I think it's really cute and I love the colour with the flowers - perfect for summer.
Finally, I got this bright neon orange dress with white aztec print - not something I would usually go for but I do like it - I think it would be good for a beach dress!

I hope you enjoyed reading about some of the presents I got for my birthday, as I said before I just wanted to share them with you!

Thank-You for reading!

The Guide to a Perfect Pamper Evening

The Guide to a Perfect Pamper Evening

So we all have those days when we feel tired, in a bad mood or just having a bad day. The perfect thing to do at the end of a bad day is to have a pamper evening - just a couple of hours to chill and pamper yourself!

1. The first thing I’d suggest is to run yourself a nice, hot bath as it is much more relaxing than a shower.

2. Of course add some bubbles of your choice, a bath bomb or even better - both! And why not add some rubber ducks to chill with you in the bath!

3. Before you get in the bath, wash your face with your favourite skincare products as you don’t want a face of makeup when you’re in the bath as it’s good for your skin to be nice and fresh.

4. When you’re in the bath I’d suggest using your favourite body scrub or shower gel so you’re feeling nice and clean!

5. I know some people don’t like to wash their hair in the bath, but some do so whatever suits you best! If you do like to wash your hair in the bath, use your favourite hair products and give your hair a nice shampoo and conditioning and when you’ve got out maybe use a hair mask or some hair oil.

6. Once you’ve washed, washed your hair and you’re feeling all nice and fresh I’d suggest maybe reading a book, listening to music, getting some cucumber for your eyes or just chilling.

7. Once you’ve got out of the bath, dried, dried your hair, the next essential thing for a pamper evening is a face mask! I would use your favourite face mask and just chill and apply some body butter or your favourite moisturiser while you’re waiting for it to work its magic!

8. Once you’ve rinsed your face mask, your skin is feeling super duper soft, the last thing to complete your pamper evening is to paint your nails with your favourite nail varnish!

And that is your pamper evening complete! Leaving you feeling fresh, clean & fabulous!

Do any of you guys have pamper evenings?
What are your essentials in your routine?

I hope this post inspired some of you to have a pamper evening!

My Naked Palette

Hey Everyone!

I'm really sorry to the small amount of people who read my blog that I haven't been blogging! But I'm going to be blogging a lot more often now that I have the holidays!
It was actually my birthday the other day, I was thinking of doing a post about my day & presents! Please comment if you would like one!

So.. on with the post! I wanted to do a post on my most used make up product.. my naked palette! I know it's very well loved in the wonderful world of beauty and I wanted to share my thoughts on it and some of my favourite looks..

Although I have many many beauty products that I LOVE - favourite and probably most used product is my Naked Palette. I love it - whether you’re going out and want a dark smouldering smoky eye makeup or just a pretty day time look this palette is the perfect solution to all your makeup look needs! Ranging from light shimmery colours and matte neutrals to dark shimmery blacks this palette can create thousands of eye makeup looks! And thats why I along with many others adore this palette!

I thought I’d share a few of my favourite looks from the palette;
(Thank-You to my sister for being my model!!)

One of my favourites - a gold smokey eye! This is a simple but beautiful look just using two colours; half baked across the lid and smog (a darker gold) in the outer corner blended into half baked, and a mixture of the two below the bottom lash line.  I think this is very suitable for a party or an evening look! And it looks super pretty with a bright red look (if you’re brave enough!).

I wear this natural eye make up all the time - it’s perfect for school or just a casual day and it’s really really pretty! I used virgin (the lightest shimmery colour in the palette) all over the lid and a buck (a soft matte brown) blended in through the crease. I think both of these are very wearable colours - virgin is also great for brightening the inner corner of the eye or under the brow as a highlighter. Buck is the perfect neutral crease colour. This look is super easy and really pretty - I love it!

The last look I wanted to share is quite a funky (and brave!) bronze eye with blue eyeliner on the top & bottom lash line. I love this look - not for everyone but I love the bright blue with the bronze and I think it looks really cool with a coral lip. I just used toasted all over the lid with the eyeliner and I think this is perfect for people with a more individual style and looks really really cool!

I LOVE my naked palette - although it definitely is very pricey I think I have definitely got my money’s worth out of it - I use it all the time and none of the colours have hit pan - I think it’s a great investment if you're looking for a palette great for travel and has such a great range of colours which are all incredibly pigmented and all very wearable!

Do any of you guys have a naked palette?
What are your favourite eye shadow combos?
